The need to create a brand that would reinforce the positioning of Mexico City in a striking and powerful way was identified. In response, we suggested adopting the acronym “CDMX” instead of the full name, simplifying and updating its identity.
We embarked on designing the city’s logo, focusing on creating a timeless, synthetic, and emblematic design that could be easily applied in both print and digital media.
Pink was chosen as the central element of the identity to highlight and differentiate it from other brands. This unconventional choice, representative of the city’s diversity and vitality, brought uniqueness to the project.
The brand’s launch had a significant impact, evoking a sense of pride among the residents of Mexico City, who enthusiastically embraced and made it their own.
Today, “CDMX” continues to be a deeply rooted symbol in the collective consciousness of its inhabitants, reflecting the power and unique identity of this vibrant metropolis.
